Pre Round Avocado toast

Having an all-round game doesn’t just take place on the practice tee and the putting green. Ensuring your body is fuelled properly for your round of golf is also of utmost importance.

One of my favourite ways to start the day is with a glass of Ginger Water, a couple of lattes, and a breakfast that is light, yet fulfilling, such as avocado toast.

Avocados provide an assortment of nutritious B-Vitamins, Vitamin C, Potassium, Magnesium, along with a healthy dose of fibre. They are high in healthy fats (LDLs) and deliver the right amount of calories to make you feel full, but not too full. Adding healthy toppers such as alfalfa sprouts, baby spinach, cherry tomato, or radish can spruce it up and leave you feeling fully satisfied and ready to start your day at the course!

Ingredients

  • Good quality bakery bread

  • Ripe Avocado

  • Tiny pinch of salt and pepper to season

  • Lime wedge (squeeze it in the avocado while mashing)

  • Sprouts, spinach, tomato, or radish, or any combo you prefer

    Mash up the avocado in a bowl, add some lime if you like, a little S&P, and top it as you like!
